Ava & Mila

These two?

Never have fun. Never! hehe.

The other day, I asked Ava if she wanted to go shopping with me. She usually jumps at the opportunity. But not on this day. She wanted to keep playing video games on Dada’s laptop. After some convincing, she changed her mind and off we went. I introduced her to some local antique shops and she did NOT want to leave. So many old toys. So many lunch boxes. “Look at this…look at that!” she screamed. She had a blast.

And we ended our shopping trip with a treat. Lemon gelato. Almost as good as the million scoops she had over the summer in Croatia. Almost.

Every morning, Mila likes to ask “where are we going now?“. Poor kid. Her schedule is a little screwed up. She is unsure if she is going to school or swim class or Nona’s house. So on her days off, I treat her (and myself) to bagels.

She spends the whole time chowing down and then telling me “I’m Barba Frank……no!!!!!!!!!!! I’m Mila!“.

Silly mustache kid.

When I picked Mila up from school the other day, her teacher asked me if she ever rubs my belly. I said ‘no’.

And then as soon as we got home, Mila started to rub my belly.

And hasn’t stopped

And I am the classroom’s slooooowest eater.

Don’t be a hater.

It’s my style.

We are lucky to live so close to the beach. But we really don’t take advantage of it like we should be.

It was finally warm enough to kick off our shoes and enjoy the sand.

The water is still way too cold.

The girls had a blast playing with the sand. Here is a picture of Mila’s first sun. My sun is in the corner.

The cold water didn’t seem to bother them too much.
