Mila: 6 months old!!!

happy.

Hola. My little amiga is now 6 months old!!!!! And you’ll have to wait to see what she was doing at that exact minute at the end of the post.
feet.

So we are still on the road. Road trip 2010!!!! Her car seat whining is slowly getting better. If she starts to cry, I recline my seat all the way back…

…and say hello.
behaving well on the drive.

So last week we are in the New Mexico and in the middle of Texas and today we finally reached the bottom of Texas. Hello there, Gulf Coast. And hello, wind!

We are still traveling with our British friends for a bit longer. Mila gets to “play” with LuLu who is 4 months older than her. Look at Mila starting to sit like a big girl!
the little ones.

All of this walking around the country and carrying a baby is fine. It is when I add my diaper bag to the mix that causes me pain. So today I will try out my backpack. Boy do I look like a pack mule or what?!?!
baby carrier and backpack.

And Mila’s nickname is still “grabby” in Texas. And everything goes straight into her mouth. Even Texas shaped chips.

And of course her fingers. What? Only one finger today? Are you feeling alright Mila?!?!
hanging out.

Before we knew it, it was time to say good-bye to our new traveling pals and continue on with our trip alone.
both families.

What shall we do now without our pals help?
ava and mila.

Hmmm,  let’s take a ferry. Mila’s very first one. (Ava’s first was in Croatia.)

And what was Mila doing when she turned 6 months old exactly? Sitting on Louisiana soil for the very first time. In front of a casino, no less. They had a buffet that was calling our name.

Hey? Where is my half year birthday cake?
where is my cake?

I’m still waiting!
whatever.

No cake? Wah!

Good thing Dada and Ava were there to turn that frown upside down.

And after the 3 of us stuffed our faces at the buffet, we hopped back into our Airstream. It was time to feed Mila real food for the first time.
first bites of real food.

No, it wasn’t cake. It was runny cereal. Yummm.
yum.

She did okay eating for the first time but I think she enjoyed eating her new bib a little bit more than the cereal.

From that day on, Mila now joins us at almost every meal.
lunch time.

Welcome to the table little one.
