I am soooo behind in blogging. Truthfully, I have been dreading starting up again. I take thousands of pictures each month of these two ladies and it takes a lot of time to sort through them all. But I promised myself that I would start tonight and here I am. Blogging. And you know what? I’m so happy to be back.

Dan is looking at me with crazy eyes at this very moment. Because I have the biggest smile on my face right now. And I am giggling. And getting misty eyed. Because I love blogging. I love these pictures. I love these two girls with all of my heart.

The other day at the grocery store while the four of us were checking out, the cashier notices Ava and then asks if Mila is a boy or girl. When I tell her that I have another girl, she immediately gets ‘that look’ on her face, cocks her head and says “too bad you don’t have one of each. ooooh, i guess sisters are nice too”. WTF lady!!!

Little does she know that I wanted another girl. Badly. And I feel like the luckiest gal around.

Planning a birthday party and a future extended road trip wore me OUT! And then I got sick. And still am sick!

Here is a little sneak peek of Ava’s current obsession… which couldn’t make us any happier… because it is not pink!!!

Ava did this to her arms the other day. And it reminded me of how she used to do the same thing when she was younger.

So I searched our database by typing in “stickers” and found it.

But then others came up.

And I couldn’t stop looking.

Because I could remember every one of these exact moments.

And that makes feel like the luckiest gal around.

P.S. I am so behind in blogging and I hate it. I feel like I am standing in a middle of a tornado right now. But I WILL catch up. Hopefully next week.

This video has been in the oven for over a year. Marlene made me promise to get it out there before we head out on our next extended road trip so here it is. We had a ridiculously fun time shooting this video during our last Arizona trip.

I can’t believe how much Ava has grown and how much things have changed in our lives since this last trip to Tombstone, AZ. Thanks to David and Carrie for starring along with us in our little sure-to-be-Oscar-award-winning short film. Enjoy!

I went into my favorite store the other day, looking for one item that I had to get. I scoured the entire store looking for it. And I couldn’t find it. Defeated, I went back to the couch that Dan and Ava were sitting at so patiently. Dan looks at me and tells me that Ava told him that I was going to by that mug on the coffee table. There it was! My mug. The one that reminds me of my Dad’s village in Croatia.

But how did Ava know I wanted to buy it? Freaky.
