Hi there. Mila is now 8 weeks old… and still on her first vacation.

Just relaxing.
mila. lounging at the pool.

Sleeping in her stroller. Poolside.

It’s a really rough life.
yeah.

Since she is way too little for the pool, she hangs out mostly in shade… with her Mama.

And her Dada too.

Can you believe this baby of mine? Wearing 6 month old clothes. She is sooo long.

And so cute.
little smile.

So very cute.
grin.

I could just eat her up.
laugh.

That was our first day at the pool and this is our second day. I know. I know. It looks the same.
poolside.

But look. I have proof. We’ve changed clothes.
smiles.

But here we are still lounging.
relaxing.

And napping under the umbrella.
napping.

And enjoying this view.

And on the third day we went to the pool again. But look! A different pool. But, yeah, still lounging.

And admiring Mila’s eyelashes. They in direct competition with Ava’s, I think. They don’t curl up. Not yet. I’ll give them a little more time before I bust out the eyelash curler. Just kidding.
eyelashes.

And all that pool time made for a couple of sleepy kids. Mila did okay in the car. I think that she is a little too young to travel far distances yet. We still need to prop her head with a blanket so her head doesn’t rest on her shoulder. Seriously. And it’s hard to calm her down without picking her up. So, I think trips longer than an hour or two are not in our immediate future.  Oh and having her in the van is a lot harder too because she is too far away from the front of the car. My arms are long, but not that long.
both asleep.

While in the Airstream at night, we place the kids together on the bed while we work or watch TV in the other half. And if I get sleepy and Dan needs to work more, I only have one choice. Join them. This picture makes me laugh. And look at Yoda! At this moment in time, our Airstream was divided perfectly. Girls on one side of the Airstream, and boy on the other. 4 to 1. Hehe.
ladies. asleep. together.

On Sunday, it happened. Our vacation was over. What?!?!
mila.

And we were back to our normal routine. With a tiny little change. I did something that I didn’t want to do. Yup. I gave Mila a pacifier. It had to be done. Driving around with her during her ‘cranky hour’ (dinner time) was torture for her and for us… while we were on vacation.  But you know what. She really doesn’t like it. Which is GREAT and not so great at the same time.

Let’s see. What else is new with Mila? Her baby acne is so close to being gone. And her hair is still sticking up without any help from hair products.
hair.

And she got to meet Jeremy for the first time.
jeremy and mila.

And she is lifting her head for a few seconds at the time.
head lift.

And stares at me all day with those gorgeous eyes. Bye!
cute.
