Ava & Mila

Hi. Our silly little girl is now 11 weeks old.

And what’s new with Mila? Well, she’s growing…

…fast. Look how long she is!

Oh man, how I love this kid.

And her crazy hair.

Love.

So, Mila’s 11th week of life started with a trip to the beach. But she doesn’t get to enjoy the sand and sun. Not yet.

At home, Mila likes hanging out with her big sister as she paints.

When am I going to be big enough to paint?

I’ve started to notice that Mila’s eye color is changing. From gray to brown.

And when she’s tired, she gets the same red eyebrow thing that Ava got.

In the mornings, I try to jump into the shower while Mila is sleeping and Ava is entertained by a tv show so Dan can focus on work. But every once in awhile, my plan doesn’t go according to plan… and I get out of the shower to see this. It makes me smile each and every time.

And check out that chin… I mean… chins! And those cheeks. I know you are wishing you could squeeze them right now too!

We busted out Ava’s old pod chair or whatever it’s called. Mila did fairly well in it. But she leans her back after a little while.

But that’s okay. She has someone to help her hold her head up.

And look who enjoys pushing her shirt into her mouth now.

Soaking wet.

And a miracle happened this week. They were both looking at the camera at the same time.

Yeah. Bye!

Hi. I’m Mila and I’m loving this Dora chair. It belongs to my big sister Ava and it’s awesome.

She thinks so too. Ummm…

…why so sad Ava? You want a Dora chair too?

Well, here you go!

Nope. I’m not getting up. Mama said I could sit here. And don’t even think about kicking me out.

Do you hear that?

That’s the sweet sound of victory.

Mila, it’s time for pictures again. Just say cheese and she will go away.

Good try but she wants a nicer cheese.

On this Thanksgiving, I am grateful for the awesome way Ava says ‘Howdy Partner‘. It’s so awesome, I can’t even attempt to spell it out for you. It makes my heart smile.

And I am also thankful for Mila… and for the way she melts my heart with her cooing.

We spent our babymoon when I was pregnant with Ava at the La Quinta Resort. Oh how I loved that place then. And I still do now.
