Hello there. Our little Ava is now 142 weeks old. AHHHHHH!!!

The week began with a little heat wave. And what do we do when it gets too hot at our house? Invite ourselves to Grace and Cole’s pool. That’s what!

We spent a lot time at the parks in town this week. Dan can not push Ava high enough on the swings these days. She likes to scream ‘puno faster‘ (a.k.a. a lot faster) and ‘I wanna touch the sky‘.

And she especially enjoys the park when Grace is there to play with her. Here they are climbing up…

… and sliding down. Weee.

Our friend Mikey stopped by to meet Mila and check out Ava’s new Snow White outfit. And speaking of Mikey… a.k.a. Mikey Spikey… I have been trying to explain rhyming to Ava this week. She thinks it is so funny that I try to rhyme words like her friend Moose on TV. She likes when I say Mama Llama and Dada Kada. (Kada means bath tub in Croatian.) So the next day, when I asked her what rhymes with Dada… she looks at me and says ‘Dada bath tub‘. HAHAHAHAHA. Awesome.

Since we are now in October, it is time to decorate the house with Halloween decorations.

She wasn’t too sure about this skeleton when we bought it at the store. Or as she calls it the ‘pelican‘.

And when we put it together and hung it up, she refused to look at it. Too spooky.

Some of the silly things she has been doing this week includes reading this Elmo book and telling me that these two monsters are Carrie and Deets. Must be the purple hair and track suit.

And she is starting to insist on sitting at the big girl table, like she does at restaurants now. The day she chose to sit at the dining room table at home was on spaghetti night. Not spaghetti night, Ava. Oh man!!

And look at this. A pony tail. Neigh!

And look at this. Oh oh. It happens to the best of us.

Here is Ava during our project of the week. She really insists on helping with every step.

And here it is. All done. Her new kitchen. Which takes up so little room. It just rolls up. Love it.

And she loves her new shopping cart. It not only carries groceries around the house but also carries her books from the bookshelf to her bed for quiet time.

Oh, and we got her a pumpkin this week too.

But no need for carving tools.

Say hello to Princess Potato Head!

Also this week, Ava got to meet Dan’s cousin Mike and show off her toys in the Airstream too.

I also took Ava to reading time at our local library. But low and behold it was animal day instead. She got to pet a dog, a couple turtles…

… and a snake too. This kid has no fear of animals (unless they start eating her dress, of course).

And check out her first rainbow. Ahhh.

And you how Ava says that ‘Dada govori puno‘ (a.k.a. Dada talks a lot)? Well she took care of that this week.

AWESOME!!
