Great Grandmas teaching Ava Croatian baby talk…

Uncle David brought Ava a teddy bear and danced with her all night…
We also had her 5 day baby check up.
Someone should of warmed that thing up first
Home Sweet Home. 3 days old…
Sunday, January 14th, 2007We brought Ava home from the hospital today. After settling in, we took the best picture ever that evening. Ava happened to put her finger on her face and I told Dan to hurry and take a picture. At first, the camera couldn’t focus and just as we thought that the moment would be lost forever, Ava smiled for us. Perfect timing.

Happy Birthday AVA!!!
Friday, January 12th, 2007Labor was nuts…
Thursday, January 11th, 2007Labor was intense. It lasted about 18 hours. The hardest part were the contractions that were 2 minutes apart, lasting 45 seconds in duration each, for over 5 hours. I lost my mind during those 5 hours but got it back when this sweet drug, called an epidural, flew down from heaven and into my spine. Dan was pretty happy about it too.
Having contractions
Thursday, January 11th, 2007Today I went to my first advanced volleyball class and played until 7 pm. When I got home Marlene started to have mild contractions every 10 minutes or so for about 4 hours. We managed to watch My Name is Earl, The Office and The O.C. before the contractions picked up at 11 pm to about 5 minutes apart. At which point she became clearly discomforted and we began packing for the hospital.
She have been having stomache cramps too but we are not sure if thet are related to the burrito from Corrales for dinner or the contractions. She actually vomitted a couple of times before we left for the hospital at just about 1 am.
It’s now just past 2 and we are hooked up to the monitors to see how things progress for an hour or so to see if we stay or go home for the night.
